The international joint commission for theological dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church at its plenary meeting in Bari (9-16 June 1987) approved a new statement on “Faith, Sacraments and the Unity of the Church.” This topic had been agreed on at the Munich plenary of 1982
