Liturgical resources

The Second Vatican Council described “spiritual ecumenism” as the heart of the ecumenical movement. Resources for spiritual ecumenism consist primarily of Week of Prayer for Christian Unity texts, which are increasingly available online. However there are also many specialized resources developed. Sometimes, a local ecumenical group develops an order of service to celebrate a covenant or to accompany a joint study program.

Here are some samples of resources that have been developed that focus on Anglican-Roman Catholic relations:

• Mary: Grace and Hope in Christ – A Prayer Service (2004)
  based on the ARCIC document of the same title, the service was drafted by Fr. Bernard de Margerie with the collaboration of Rev. Jan Bigland-Pritchard, Director of the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (2005-2011). The service is found in the book of prayers In God’s Reconciling Grace, ed. and compiled by Bernard de Margerie (Saskatoon: RC Diocese of Saskatoon, 2014), pp. 218-226.
