When our societies face times of “breaking” it’s the work of the Church to go ”in the opposite direction” and “to sew up what has been torn.”
This film shares reflections from a pair of Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops, about how churches working together can address global issues, including conflict, climate change or the refugee crisis.

In this short film hear from the Right Reverend Ian Paton, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld, and Dunblane (Anglican), and the Most Reverend Hugh Gilbert, OSB, Bishop of Aberdeen (Catholic). The bishops are part of an ecumenical programme, that pairs Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops for prayer, conversation and joint mission. It was filmed during an ecumenical summit called “Growing Together” which took place last January 2024.
