This 1988 article served as the original foundation that he subsequently expanded and adapted into the French version, “L’Oecuménisme et Marie”, for La Foi et le Temps in 1989. These papers laid the academic and methodological foundation for Denaux’s later work as a primary drafter of the landmark ARCIC-II agreed statement “Mary: Grace and Hope in Christ” (ARCIC-II 580/04, 2005).
