a letter from the Revd. Roger Beckwith to the Revd. Christopher Hill (July 1980), written at the behest of John Stott. Beckwith was an active participant in the Church of England Evangelical Council, and this letter written under his own name was intended to clarify some of the criticisms levelled by the Evangelical Council against the agreed statement on Authority.
