The two letters of Archbishop Coggan to Pope Paul VI (9 July 1975 & 10 Feb. 1976) on the developments within the Anglican Communion regarding the ordination of women to the priesthood were circulated to members of the Church of England’s General Synod by its Secretary-General on 26 July 1976.
