A Benedictine monk of Glenstal Abbey in Co. Limerick, Ireland, Martin Browne joined the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity in the summer of 2022. He will be responsible for relations with the Anglican Communion and the World Methodist Council, and working with the World Council of Churches on the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. He was previously Headmaster of the abbey’s boarding school and part of the abbey’s chant schola. He has been involved in church music all his life.
