Renamed at the 73rd General Convention in Denver to explicitly add interfaith/interreligious dialogue (Judaism, Islam, etc.) to its canonical responsibility. From 2015 to 2018, it was briefly consolidated with World Mission during a major overhaul of the General Convention’s standing commissions at the 78th General Convention in Salt Lake City. Restored as a distinct canonical body at the 79th General Convention in Austin.
