The 81st meeting of the Anglican-Roman Catholic Theological Consultation in the USA (ARC-USA) took place in Chicago from December 16 to 18. It was hosted by the Episcopal Church at the Nicholas Center of the Diocese of Chicago, which is next door to Saint James Cathedral. Several papers were presented dealing with the theme of this round, “Reconciliation in Scripture and Tradition.”

The ARC-USA members agreed that the discussion had matured sufficiently to begin drafting an agreed statement. First drafts of several sections of a potential statement will be considered at the next meeting, to be held at the Spiritual Life Center of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, Kansas, next April.
