a note prepared for Archbishop Ted Scott, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, in response to an enquiry received from Christian Howard regarding the reasons that Anglicans could maintain unity within the communion despite profound differences on the ordination of women. Howard was a member of the ARCCOW consultation.
