This report of the joint Methodist-Roman Catholic Commission was prepared for the World Methodist Council meeting in Denver in 1971. This dialogue was established following the Second Vatican Council and met for the first time in 1967. Subsequent phases of the dialogue have reported every five years to coincide with meetings of the WMC. Each report is known by the place at which the WMC meeting is held, thus this report is called the Denver Report, although the dialogue did not meet in Denver.
The present report consists of eight sections. Sections 5, 6, and 7 explore the Eucharist, Ministry, and Authority, all areas of concern to ARCIC at this stage of their reflections.
